Self-ink stamps are characterized by their separate die and reinkable  pad, incorporated into one convenient spring-loaded mount.  The stamp impression is made by pressing down on the top of the mount.  The stamp die rotates away from the pad and down on to the area to be stamped.  

Use Tip: Do not slam or bang a self-inker, but place over the area to be stamped and press down firmly.

Self-ink stamps are mid-priced, costing more than conventional but less than pre-ink stamps.
